Co-curricular programs provided at St Patrick’s School ensure students develop as a whole person and learn life skills in a fun and engaging way. Skills students learn from co-curricular activities include teamwork, the opportunity to make new friends across year levels, building courage to try new things and experience success outside the classroom.  

Co-curricular activities range from sporting and cultural to in-school visits to curricular programs provided at the school including 

  • combined athletics and cross country carnival
  • swimming lessons during Term 1 and Term 4
  • Gungarri language lessons 
  • school camp out 
  • Under 8’s day  
  • Wellness Week 
  • Book Week 
  • dental van
  • Breakfast Club on Tuesday
  • Surat Aboriginal Corporation visit to provide healthy cultural sports days where traditional games are incorporated.

Annual co-curricular community events hosted by the school include a

  • community fete 
  • community open night.
